Writer: AllisonAllison

We all know that parties and events are fun to attend but planning them can be stressful. As professional party planners it is key to be prepared in advance to pull off a beautiful home soiree!

  • Set the theme for your event

  • When sending invitations, include date, time, location, attire and RSVP

  • Plan your food & beverage menu, ask guests for dietary restrictions

  • Grocery & liquor shop

  • Order flowers day before and put in your vases, don’t forget the powder room

  • Hire your vendors and start a detailed timeline

  • Make a playlist and set the table in advance

  • Have your home cleaned

  • Have pet care lined up

  • Polish silver

  • Coordinate child-care

  • Designate areas for guest shoes, coats, purses, hostess gifts, bar & food

  • Put out seating assignments

  • Set up your bar, have non-alcoholic beverages, cut fruit
